Parents and Grandparents:
This is the Christmas story that all grandparents and parents have been waiting for, because it answers the question that all Believing children inevitably ask: "How does Santa deliver presents all over the world in one night?"
For the first time, children now have an answer they can believe--that just as the Believing world grew, so did the Santa Claus family.
Each year, just before Christmas, young Santas are initiated to run the sleighs (sort of like getting a driver's license), and every generation a new North Pole Santa (the only who lives at North Pole) receives his birthright (like Inauguration) to be the next North Pole Santa.
This time, however, there's a big problem. For the first time in the Santa Claus family, the next in line for the birthright is an adopted Athabascan girl--and the Twentieth North Pole Santa's brothers have decided that she will not be allowed to take that position or even run a sleigh.
This is a story of diversity, gender bias and the relationship of adopted children with their families. It is the evolution of a legend to be shared with Believers of all ages.
